A quiet night in US ags, macros, major news.
US row crops rally overnight, wheat fades late. Talk heating up in the US of potential corn yield losses from too much rain. Seems like a fade to us if CZ reaches 435 or so.
So much for the corn key reversal. Good US crop conditons on yesterdays afternoon weekly report, lower ags overnight. No progress on anything tariff related. US CPI number not unexpected this month, S&P on all time high.
A softer start in US ags turns slightly firmer overnight for no apparent fundamental reason. CZ settled 416 overnight, a finish today above 418 would be a key reversal higher.
US ags slightly lower overnight awaiting the monthly crop reports today. Bitcoin makes new all time highs, silver screams to new highs since 2011.
US and Matif wheat bounce overnight, US weather still benign other than N plains, US weekly ag export sales finally good all around for a change.
Good central US row crop weather forecast, CZ makes new contract lows overnight, big Trump tariffs coming in copper and seminconductors apparently.
Lower again in US ags off 74% g/ex US corn rating and benign US weather forecasts. New US tariffs so far have not roiled macro markets overnight.
Last weeks US/China trade deal rumors prove so far to be false, Brazilian safrina and Black Sea wheat harvests gain steam, US weather nonthreatening. So back down we go.
