US HRW wheat screams to its 62 retrace final resistance before contract highs from Feb another 40 cents higher, dry weather for the US S plains the culprit along with big fund shorts.
Corn lower, beans/SRW/Spring wheat unch, KC wheat a couple cents higher continuing to gain off US S plains weather forecast worries.
Higher overnights for no single apparent reason. US export sales was excellent for beans and wheats, moderate for corn.
Lower in US ag futures overnight. US CPI slightly better than expected. EU announces retaliatory tariffs from US metals tariffs.
A fairly quiet night session (other than canola gaspiping further) as we await todays US crop reports.
China-Canada canola tariffs, Trump arguing for more tariffs, Trudeau steps down, beans quiet but US grain futures rally overnight while macros are fairly quiet so far.
US ags slightly lower and fairly quiet overnight on no new mention of massive changes in anything tariff related. The day is young. US unemploment number was out this AM and didnt move macro markets either.
US Dollar in Fall and Grains possibly correcting higher after 10 straight lower sessions.
China and Canada retaliatiate with their own tariffs, Mexico supposed to retaliate at some point today. USDX down, crude down, US stock markets down, US bonds and metals up. Ags down. Again.
